Тысяча дней Анны (1969)

In the film "Thousand Days of Anne," English King Henry VIII has always dreamed of having a male heir, but his wife, Queen Catherine of Aragon, has only given birth to a daughter during their long marriage. The king asks the Pope for permission to divorce.

Henry wants to make eighteen-year-old Anne Boleyn his new queen, who is already pregnant with his child. A refusal comes from the Vatican to the king's request.

In 1533, Henry VIII breaks ties with the Catholic Church and becomes the founder of the new Anglican Church. He removes all obstacles and ensures Anne's coronation.

However, his hopes are not fulfilled as Anne gives birth to another daughter. Their marriage lasts only three years. Soon after, Anne Boleyn is accused by her husband of adultery and beheaded.

Shortly after, Henry marries another woman, hoping that his new chosen one will finally give birth to a son....
